Chail an Untouched World of Hills & Valleys

Chail a promised land of ‘peace, delight and nature’s wonder’ never fails to awe – stuck its guests at first seeing. Its village set – up, wishful lifestyle, sip of tea and countless stories are an experience of overwhelming emotions.
Chail has its stories dating back to the ‘British Times’ and its lanes exhibit the remnant of ‘Victorian’ élan.

44 Kms away from Shimla, the hill station shares the story of ‘Maharaja of Patiala’…
The romance of yesteryears from Chail reveals ~ His Highness ‘Maharaja of Patiala’ was unceremoniously barred from entering Shimla, after he attempted to elope with his beloved; who coincidentally was ‘Viceroy’s daughter’.

Chail consequently became the summer retreat of the ‘Maharaja of Patiala’ and the ‘Eden’ harboring passion of unfulfilled love. The palace with ‘English suburban architectural design’, adorned with ‘grey stone’ and styled with wooded floors hosted ‘Maharaja of Patiala from 1891.
If you’re set to conquer the unfinished stories; the palace of ‘Maharaja of Patiala’ is waiting to host you; as it has been born-again as heritage hotel for travelers.

Chail can be a complete honeymooner’s entrancement; and love bird’s hideout in winters. Chail is best experienced during winters in January and February amid its snowfall and picturesque beauty.

Chail is home to the world’s highest cricket ground, situated at an altitude of 2000 meters. Chail will be an ecstasy to never forget in midst of ‘walk through cedar forests, spotting wildlife at Chail Wildlife Sanctuary, and unmasking the legendary stories of yesteryears…
